Was it the skill level of the person cutting the hair or do they have a set of policies that incentivize them to turn clients over more quickly? You know what they say, you can't get a good, fast and cheap haircut ... at most you can only get two of the three. Salons are supposed to give you high quality, but you have to pay for it and you're supposed to get a good block of time. The quickie places are built around cheap cost at the expense of time and quality.
When I get a bad haircut I call back and ask to speak with the manager and 100% of the time they will let you come back in to have someone else clean it up. Either that or invest in some good hats for a couple of weeks.
