     What type do I need to purchase for use in spin classes at Austin, North location?

Daniela-

As far as the cleats go,it is not all the neccessary to have cleats.  However, if you would liketo purchase a pair you might want to look for a pair of mountain cleats to put on the bottom of your shoes.  These will help you quit a bit.  And they will also help your knees.

Shimano SPD cleats are what you need.

Shimano SPD cleats come in more than one variation.  Best to identify cleat specifically.  SM-SH55 work, SM-SH56 work better.
