Is there a way to keep track of caloric intake and exercise on the LifeTime site?

It would be really helpful to be able to track nutrition and exercise on this site... is that available? If not, is there a free online version that someone would recommend? Thanks!

I have an app for my Iphone called Tap and Track.  It is as good as any I've found...but they all need more complete data bases for food.  You can plug in how much weight you want to lose, and how much per week, and it will figure how many calories you can consume.  Plus you add in the exercise you did for the day and it adds to your allowed caloric intake.  All in all I like it...until something better comes along anyway!

We hope to have something in the future. It is a much-needed part of our site. We are working on it now, but do not have a specific date on when a journal will be available.

Where would you suggest we go to find a site that can help count daily calories?

I really like www.thedailyplate.com for tracking and breakdowns.  If you eat out a lot they have the nutritional breakdown for a lot of the chain restaurants.

Try FitClick.com. I use it for tracking my workouts. It works great for that. I'm sure their diet and calorie tracking works as well too.

We are working on a solution that will be a great option for members in the future, however Life Time does not have anything available at the current time.

There are a number of free trackers available on the web with varying features.  The one that I recommend the most is SparkPeople.com.  The site offers the ability to customize your recommendations if you are working with a practitioner and can also track individual vitamins and minerals.  It also accepts user contributions so you can put in custom foods or recipes, or draw from the database of other users.

I use Nutrition Menu on my i phone and have found it to be easier and better than tap n' track for i phone. Can't remember if it was free, but it may have been $2.99.  Totally worth it.  There is a journal for daily entries, a weight tracker to input weight, an area to list exercises, and a food list.  In the food list you would also be able to input any special food items and also list their carbs, protein, fats, sodium, sugars, etc. It also lets you know how many calories you have left for the day, how many proteins, carbs, etc.  You would fill out your profile as to the carb/protein balance you wanted.  You can even email the list to yourself from the phone!  I highly recommend it!
