The indoor lap pool is too cold. Does anyone agree?

The indoor lap pool is unbearably cold. Even after getting in and trying to warm up swimming laps, I am freezing. I don't know if the majority of people want it that cold for some reason and that is why they don't heat it or if there is something wrong with the heater. I would love for them to heat this pool so that it is just cool and refreshing, not freezing.

I think the temp is perfect. I still get hot by the time I'm done doing laps.

You can try the lanes in the indoor leisure pool.  That water is much warmer.

Yup, it is way too cold. My theory is it might be the vents that blow air on the pool. Today the outdoor pool was 70 and the indoor lap pool was 79 and the leisure pool was 85. Just a couple degrees would make a big difference. I also noticed that warm water was being pumped into the leisure pool was is not being pumped into the lap pool?

After so many compliants I don't know why the gym does not address this issue.

The indoor pools are heated year-round in most clubs, they should be kept right around 80 degrees, if  it feels cold to you see if you can grab a lifeguard to check the pool thermometer and adjust the temp if necessary

The lap pools are kept at 80, and the leisure at 85. The temperature is controlled by our corporate offices, not in-club.

If the pool is heated to 80 degrees then there is a problem. Yesterday, the lifeguard told me it was 79 and it seemed colder than 79. Another member was wearing a wet suit to swim!Has any of the management tired to swim in the last couple days?

If you look at older posts you will notice this is ongoing problem. The indoor lap pool is refreshing in the summer heat but painful in the winter.

Is there anyway to check to see if the air vents blowing on the lap pool is causing the pool to be colder than 80 degrees?
