I joined TEAM Weight Loss in October of 2008. I am half way through my second session and have lost a total of 24 pounds of fat, 15 pounds net weight (that means I have gained 9 pounds of muscle), lost 7% of my overall body weight in fat and also improved about one-tenth of a mile in a 30 minute run.

What that means is that I am at the end of my belt notches and will soon have to get a new belt, I can’t wear my pants without a belt and am close to being down two sizes. I am down one size on top and my ring is really loose. I also ran a 36.20 minute 5k, with the support of a friend, but that is 2 minutes off of my previous best!

My journey isn’t over and I wouldn’t be on my way without the awesome guidance and support of my Trainer Steph and Nutrition Coach Alicia. They have really taken the time to get to know me, what I like and my crazy schedule to make the appropriate changes that are realistic for me. Their question is always, “What will be your challenge THIS WEEK” and then we plan for that. One challenge at a time…..

My Advice?


1.    Work out more than just class.
2.    Use your food journal! Days are long and my memory fails me.
3.    Find out your personal heart rate zones and use your monitor
4.    Find out your Resting Metabolism so that your meal plan really is all about you!
5.    If you can’t do it alone, join T.E.A.M Weight Loss!
