July’s LifeSpa and Salon Big16 event on the 27th featured a variety of select services – a Murad express facial, back and shoulder massage, shampoo and style, mini-pedicure, and an Iredale makeup application – for an amazing price of just $27 each. Plus, SPArty participants received a 27% retail product discount on any purchases made at the event. At such hard-to-beat prices (along with the complimentary LifeCafe pizza served to attendees during the event), these deals were just TOO good to pass up for many, including member Jenny Bustamante and nonmember Carrie Fox at the Chanhassen event.
Jenny, who just moved back home to Minnesota two months ago from Latin America, learned about the event through a Big16 email. A massage therapist and nail technician herself, she appreciates the benefits these services provide and chose a mini-pedicure and back and shoulder massage for the event – two services that she likes to have done on a regular basis.

Jenny Bustamante
While this wife and expectant mom of two enjoyed her pampering at the LifeSpa and Salon, her daughters played at the Child Center, something Jenny said they do on a regular basis. Her family became Life Time Fitness members as soon as they returned to their home state, and one of the biggest reasons is because her daughters love to swim so much. “We’ve always had a membership to a club,” Jenny said, so they made sure they had one once back home in Minnesota. She said she plans to return to the LifeSpa and Salon on a monthly basis to keep up with the maintenance, and mentioned she’s had her hair done there as well. “I’ve been to the spa more than I’ve worked out!” she confessed as she laughed. Who can blame her?
Carrie Fox, a nonmember whose daughter is a Life Time Fitness member, is an avid fan of the LifeSpa and Salon. Notified of the event by her stylist, Carrie decided to combine a SPArty service with a non-SPArty service: a shampoo and style and an eyebrow wax. She planned to include a back and shoulder massage with her SPArty services, but with recent (nine days prior) rotator cuff surgery, her doctor recommended she hold off to avoid any issues.

Although Carrie said she has services done at the LifeSpa and Salon fairly often, she was especially motivated to attend this special event. “I come fairly frequently anyway, but it’s great to get a deal,” she said. The fabulous results, personalized service, and special care she receives each time is also key. “My hair will look awesome – it always does. And everybody’s so nice and sweet. That’s why I come back.”
