The refs had their hands full in the Shooters/Ballers game as 37 fouls were called.

One point separated two of Premier Place's best on Tuesday night, as the Shooters clipped the Ballers 71-70 to send the two clubs in opposite directions.  Both teams entered the game with 3-1 records, but with this being the only time the two squads will meet this season, the Shooters will hold the tiebreak over the Ballers for the rest of the Fall campaign.

Rogers Healy followed his superhuman 48-rebound onslaught from last week with 21 rebounds last night, along with 12 points, 3 blocks, and a pair of steals.  Healy's teammates Jim Engelland (27 points, 11 rebounds) and Bobby Young (28 pts, 6-12 3PTs, 10-10 FTs, 10 rebs) heaped more pressure on the Ballers, as the star trio of the Shooters paced their squad to a comfortable 12-point lead at intermission.  But the Ballers found their drive following the break, as Josh Eckel (18 pts, 14 rebs, 5 stls) and Hank Aldous (16 pts, 4 rebs, 2 stls, 2 blks), inspired to upset the Shooters, helped their squad cut the deficit to just one near the end of the game.  Point guard Pat Wood (23 pts, 6 rebs, 2 asts) had a tame game by his standards, but he still ran a splendid Ballers' offense in the second session.  Had they found their rhythm a bit earlier, the Ballers may have had a chance - but 12 three-pointers from the aptly-named Shooters sunk the Ballers rise from their first-half grave.

Other scores from Premier Place: Pimp Squad 66, T-Birds 55
